We've audited hundreds of contractor websites across Orange County. The same five problems show up over and over:
- Slow load times kill conversions. The average contractor website loads in 6–8 seconds. Google's data shows 53% of mobile visitors leave if a page takes more than 3 seconds. If your site is slow, you're losing half your traffic before they even see your homepage. Our sites load in under 2 seconds.
- No mobile optimization. 65%+ of contractor searches happen on mobile phones. Yet most contractor websites are "responsive" in name only — tiny text, buttons too small to tap, forms that require zooming. A truly mobile-first design starts with the phone experience and enhances for desktop, not the other way around.
- Generic stock photos. Huntington Beach homeowners can spot a stock photo instantly. A smiling handshake in front of a suburban house that could be anywhere in America doesn't build trust — it erodes it. Real photos of your crew, your trucks, and your completed projects in recognizable HB neighborhoods are infinitely more effective.
- No clear call to action. Visitors shouldn't have to hunt for how to contact you. Click-to-call buttons should be visible without scrolling on every page. Forms should ask for 3–4 fields maximum. Every service page should end with a specific next step.
- One page for all services. A single "Our Services" page listing everything you do tells Google nothing about your expertise and gives homeowners no reason to choose you over a competitor with dedicated, detailed service pages. Each service deserves its own page with unique content, pricing context, and portfolio examples.
